There was wet snowfall in the morning, with patches of fog and occasional wind at East. It must have started overnight as there was no ice or hardpack, even at the bottom. Thus there was a forgiving and easy to ski snow surface on the minority of terrain which was not packed powder. By lunch I had soaked gloves, but fortunately I had another pair and the weather changed a bit. At West in the afternoon it was colder, more fog, less new snow and not so wet.
Coverage is outstanding, so there are all sorts of tree shots rarely skiable here. So if the main runs are excessively congested (only a few at West), just wander off trail and you'll find something interesting. Some of the chair lift lines are good mogul runs now, and Olympic is well covered with quality bumps.
