Although Tuesday was the last night of snowmaking, intense grooming produced a mostly packed powder surface. There was a hardpack subsurface and frozen granular patches appeared by noon in heavy traffic areas of Summit Run and Miracle Mile. Upper Log Chute had the best snow, and Wall and the Westridge park were pretty good too. Note: Lower Olympic (the steep part) is NOT open. Weather was patchy fog and occasional wind from mid-morning on. There is about a 2 inch base of natural snow, and the man-made on the trails is 1-2 feet max, though very well maintained. Heavy traffic is going to chew it up fast if snowmaking doesn't resume soon.
