There had been no new snow since before Christmas. However, most groomed runs had packed powder conditions except near WH2. Off trail skiing on the lower mtn. was for masochists only. Most runs off the top had 1-5 ft wide ice bands at their entrances but excellent wind packed snow once past the ice. Climax and Paranoid were especially good.

In general, the western side of the upper mountain (ch. 3,12,14 and the Wipe Out side of ch. 23) have better coverage and less ice or boilerplate than the eastern side (ch. 5,9,22 and Dave's Run). This report may now be dated due to the 1-2 ft. new snow by 1/17, but ch. 9 & 22 probably still need more. 50+MPH winds closed all upper lifts 1/15 thru 1/17
