Moguls: Excellent, but they started to disappear Sunday : )

Snow conditions were outstanding with temps cool after the 7 feet new snow since 1/15. Saturday there were gusty south winds blowing at the top of the new gondola (which still ran all day) but it wasn't too bad on Chair 23. Nice runs on Wipe Out, Drop Out and Star Chute.

The new high-speed lifts of the last two years have really cleaned out Mammoth's crowds. Lift lines are now shorter than the major Tahoe, Utah and Colorado resorts.

Sunday there was about 5 inches new snow plus it snowed all day. With blown-in snow there were freshies to be had in the trees or by Braille on the face of 3&5, occasionally knee deep. I'm sure both weather and the impending Super Bowl cut down the competition for fresh tracks.
